Title 8 Regulations

California Title 8 Regulations are a set of rules established by the California Code of Regulations (CCR) that govern workplace safety and health. They are enforced by Cal/OSHA and cover a wide range of topics including: 

  • Injury and illness prevention 
  • Hazardous substances 
  • Machine and equipment safety 
  • Construction safety 
  • Workplace conditions (i.e. ventilation, noise, ergonomics) 

Title 8 is designed to ensure employers provide safe and healthy working environments for employees in California.
